In an a gesture that sent shockwaves through the greater holiday community, Christmas Toy Workshop Elves walked out of work last Thursday. The elves are protesting H.O.-H.O.-H.O.'s recent decision to outsource toy production down south… not Mexico, the South Pole. Where Penguins will do the work of Elves for only a few fish head a day. The decision to outsource some of the toy production to the other pole was a result of the increase of Toy Production needed now that presents will be delivered to both the naughty and nice this upcoming Christmas.
"How can you outsource toy production to Penguins?" asked E 1, a striking Elf. "They're birds, they have wings, and they can't even fly. How are they going to build a toy train?"
As sad as the event might seem to many traditionalists, the average gift giver won't even feel the effects. "Toys are toys," says Ronald Snow, Chairman of H.O.-H.O.-H.O. "Whether they are made in China, Thialand, or the South Pole. The smile a child gets on their face when they open a toy on Christmas is the same. It doesn't matter where they're made. And if we can get more kids with more smiles. I think it's worth it. Don't you?" |
